Hi everyone,
It is now the end of the year and it is time to take your masterpieces home and share with your family. Thank you for such a wonderful year. I will miss the ninth grade class, however, YHS is very lucky to have such great artists attending their school next year. For my seventh and eighth graders I look forward to having you in class next year.
Seventh, Eighth, and Ninth grade art students are creating marbaliezed sketchbooks in art. The students made marbled paper and are now mounting the paper on the cover of their personal sketch books. The sketchbooks look fantastic. Soon the books will be filled with art notes and sketches as students learn about new techniques and medias.
Portfolio drawings and name design are due Wednesday, 9/17 at the end of class.
Art Journals from 9/5 to 9/17 are due on Wednesday, 9/17 at the beginning of class.
7th grade- Modified Blind Contour drawing of their hand is due on Thursday, 9/18 at the end of class.
8th grade- Modified Blind Contour drawing of their shoe is due on Thursday, 9/18 at the end of class.
(8th graders remember to wear clean socks on Thursday!)
9th grade- Modified Blind Contour drawing of their hand holding an object is due on Thursday, 9/17 at the end of class. The object is their choice, however, must be appropriate for school. If you have any questions refer to student handbook or email Ms. Baar at ebaar@ycs.wednet.edu.
